About Melissa

Until a year and a half ago my creativity was limited. I tried to sew some in high school, made a couple pairs of fun fur pants, maybe a purse or two. Throughout university I took up Origami to entertain me in lectures. I never liked art classes, I got easily frustrated that nothing I drew or painted looked like I thought it should. About a year and half ago that all changed when I attempted to save money by painting my own Christmas decorations.

That economical decision sparked something in me. I started drawing, doodles at first and eventually paintings. I’ve shocked myself by participating in gallery shows and have now left the corporate world to focus on my craft. My craft is a little bit of everything. I love sketching, painting, needlework, playing with felt, mixed media and attempting to sew. I would like to start making some jewelry and still have fond memories of learning stained glass when I was younger.  All of this creativity should hopefully make for an interesting and inspiring blog.

Thanks for reading and keep up the imagination,

Melissa
